Natural Low-Charge Ammonia, Packaged Chillers

Azanechiller overcomes environmental concerns regarding the impending R22 phase out, also ensuring plant longevity as natural refrigerant ammonia will not be affected by the HFC refrigerant phase down. (Europe’s deadline for R22 phase out is January 1, 2015.) The chiller provides high efficiency and long-term reliability with an expected operating life of more than 20 years, according to the manufacturer. The use of low charge ammonia should help secure the chiller from future regulatory or legislative restrictions due to ammonia’s zero global warming potential and nonozone depleting credentials. The chiller is used to cool a secondary fluid circuit such as water or glycol. It can be used in temperature controlled storage, dairies, breweries, wineries and other industrial food processing refrigeration applications.
