Bitzer, Oakwood, Ga., published an updated version of its “Refrigerant Report,” which focuses on developments and applications of refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP). The 18th edition of the report is available for download from the company’s website or as a printed brochure. In related news, Bitzer updated its guide on EU F-Gas Regulation No. 517/2014, which summarizes the essential parts of the new regulation. It includes detailed descriptions of refrigerants with low GWP that can be viable alternatives to currently used fluids. Parker Hannifin Corp., Cleveland, named Robert Malone a corporate vice president; president of its Filtration Group; and an officer of the company. Malone replaces Peter Popoff, who will retire February 1 after 36 years of service to the company. Malone has 15 years of experience in the filtration industry. He joined Parker in 2013 as vice president of operations for the Filtration Group.
Sonitec-Vortisand named Nikhil Bhatia as regional manager for the newly formed subsidiary Sonitec-Vortisand MENA Inc. in Dubai. Bhatia has more than seven years of HVAC and district cooling experience in the region. His main responsibility will be to develop and implement a market strategy targeting applications that can benefit from the Vortisand technology for Middle East and North Africa region.
Dry Coolers Inc., Oxford, Mich., hosted author Daniel H. Herring, the “Heat Treat Doctor,” in its booth at Furnaces North America last October. Among Herring’s books is Vacuum Heat Treatment, in which Dry Coolers’ equipment is described as a means to cool high temperature vacuum furnaces. Dry Coolers also manufactures equipment for lower temperature process cooling and heating applications.

Nicholas (Nick) Wolters was hired as district manager for the new ProChemTech Los Angeles District. Nick will be responsible for sales and service in the district. After completing training specific to the advanced water conservation and technologies patented by ProChemTech International Inc., Brockway, Pa., Wolters will be based in Fullerton, Calif.
Tecumseh Products Co., Ann Arbor, Mich., has promoted José Celso Lunardeli Furchi to vice president, sales in Latin America, and named Homero Cremm Busnelo marketing director for Latin America. Furchi will be responsible for all sales within the region including foundry products, refrigerator/freezer, air conditioning and commercial refrigeration market segments. Furchi also will serve as business lead for Tecumseh’s global refrigerator/freezer market segment.
Busnelo will be responsible for all marketing activities needed to drive growth and support Tecumseh Latin America’s business initiatives and in alignment with the company’s global strategic plan. Marketing responsibilities include product marketing, regional pricing, marketing communications, business intelligence and technical support/training.
