Food manufacturing and storage facility owners should understand how the California Green Building Standards Code is changing the way the building industry does business. Called CALGreen for short, the code is expected to result in reduced greenhouse gases emissions as well as energy and water savings in the long run. In the short run, however, facility owners may face higher upfront costs.
