Industrial refrigeration safety is the focus of an ammonia safety day planned on May 28 by the Garden City Ammonia Program. The event, organized for those in Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas and surrounding states, provides an opportunity for operators, first responders and others involved in ammonia refrigeration to continue their education and get a refresher on key safety points.

Among the day’s events, a guest speaker from the U.S. Chemical Safety Board will talk on lessons learned from hydraulic shock. Other guest speakers will address ammonia safety, ammonia refrigeration, process safety management/risk management plans (PSM/RMP) and recognized and generally accepted good engineering practice (RAGAGEP).

The $35 event includes breakfast and lunch. Register online or learn more at ammoniatraining.com.
