Rust Belt Resurgence Leads to Manufacturing Works Founders Council
A Rust Belt region has begun to see a rebirth in development and investment in manufacturing and jobs, thanks in part to a maker of industrial enclosure cooling equipment. Pfannenberg, which has its North American headquarters in western New York, has been one of the many companies leading the manufacturing growth in the region.
In April, through the support of the Buffalo Billion Initiative, the Buffalo Manufacturing Works was opened. The resource center for advanced manufacturing engages with manufacturers across North American to help them gain a competitive advantage by developing and implementing innovative manufacturing technologies, enhancing productivity and identifying other ways to grow. The collaborative network is designed to give businesses the tools to grow while stimulating economic development throughout the Buffalo Niagara Region.
As a member of the Founder's Council of Buffalo Manufacturing Works, Pfannenberg is one of the anchor companies responsible for advising on industry needs, providing guidance in establishing and assessing research capabilities, and creating working groups that will consist of industrial partners, technology experts and universities to provide direction.
