Using a water analysis that calculates particle size by volume will generally show that the high counts of very small solids are not significantly contributing to particulate volume, but that the solids in the 40 to 100 micron range (which have lower counts) are the main contributor to particulate volume, and that this particle range should be the focus of removal.
