Bitzer SE, Sindelfingen, Germany, has partially restructured its management team. Jürgen Kleiner, chief procurement officer, and Helmut Meyer, chief sales and marketing officer, have left the company. Christian Wehrle serves as the new chief operations officer and will take on Kleiner’s materials management responsibility. Wehrle was already part of the Bitzer management team as chief production officer. With this decision, the responsibility for production and procurement now lies with one person. Frank Hartmann was named chief financial officer, taking over from Kleiner, who held this role as an interim measure. Hartmann was previously the director of corporate finance and treasury for the company. Also, Gianni Parlanti is the new chief sales and marketing officer, replacing Meyer. Previously, he was the director of business development, and before that, he worked as managing director of Bitzer Refrigeration in Asia.
In other company news, Bitzer redesigned its customer magazine Compact with a modern layout and journalistic content. The current issue is published in six languages, including English. Munters AB, Kista, Sweden, signed an agreement to acquire HB Group (www.hbgroup.nl), an international company that specializes in customized hygienic climate control systems for the food/dairy industries. HB Group has locations in Almelo, the Netherlands, and a joint venture in Hrusky, Czech Republic.
