Water Filtration Skids Reportedly Reduce Costs
Two high solids water filtration skids have been designed to address the problem of high and variable suspended solids removal. Delivering flows of up to either 75 or 150 gal/min, the skids remove ultrahigh and variable total suspended solids of up to 25,000 mg/L as well as oil and grease in just one pass, according to the manufacturer.
The technology, developed by Spiral Water Technologies, reduces both CapEx and OpEx with 99 percent water recovery, which reduces overall filtration costs. Market applications for the skids include oil and gas produced water; industrial water; wastewater reuse and recycling; power generation and hydro power; food and beverage manufacturing; and biodiesel/biofuels.
