Lineage Logistics, McAllen, Texas, was cited by OSHA for nine serious violations following a report of ammonia release.

Six violations were for process safety management standards and two were for not fit testing or providing a medical evaluation of employees before they could wear respirators. One serious violation was issued for not having a functioning emergency safety eyewash station. Fines totaled $58,000, but Lineage Logistics has 15 business days from receipt of its citations to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA’s area director, or contest the citations and penalties before the independent Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
