Evoqua Water Technologies will supply its Vantage Series membrane-based boiler feedwater makeup system and water screens and stop gates for the Holland Board of Public Works (BPW) combined-cycle natural gas power plant.
Evoqua’s system includes custom double-pass reverse-osmosis systems. Effluent from the membrane system is polished using continuous deionization systems. The water screens and stop gates will help prevent debris from Lake Macatawa from entering the power plant’s three water intake channels.
The facility, which is scheduled for substantial completion by the end of the year, is being built on a partial brownfield site known as the Holland Energy Park. The project will provide 145 MW of power in western Michigan when it comes online.
