Home » Walk Raises Thousands for Water Crisis Relief
Grundfos’ 2016 Walk for Water raised more than $35,000 for global water crisis relief in charitable events held in Kansas City, Mo., and Aurora, Ill.
The events were intended to illustrate the plight of people in developing countries who sometimes walk for miles each day to obtain water, which is often from contaminated sources. Halfway through each 3.5-mile walk, participants filled 3-gallon buckets with water to simulate the burden of life in a developing nation.
Approximately 230 Grundfos employees and local residents participated in the fifth-annual events, which were held in partnership with Water Missions International. Since 2012, Grundfos has raised more than $230,000 for Water Missions International, an organization that provides for safe, sustainable water solutions in developing countries.
