Efficient Water-Cooled Centrifugal Chiller
York YK-EP achieves five percent capacity and efficiency improvements over the previous model. The chiller is suited for large-capacity applications such as large central plants and gas turbine inlet air cooling. The chiller utilizes a mechanical compression economizer cycle that couples a primary compressor with an auxiliary economizer compressor. The chiller is able to operate with low entering condenser water temperature (ECWT) down to 55°F (12.7°C) compared to 75°F (23.9°C) for other chillers, trimming instantaneous energy consumption. It also is capable of operating efficiently with warm ECWT.
