Evoqua’s Vortisand water filtration system was selected to help a large automotive research laboratory that provides independent testing services for the transportation industry meet its cooling tower needs.
A laser particle analysis confirmed high levels of suspended solids within the laboratory’s cooling tower water, increasing the threat of fouling. As a result, Evoqua delivered a fully skidded 200 gal/min sidestream filtration system with a recirculation flow of approximately 3,250 to 5,000 gal/min. A cleaner cooling tower will help increase the longevity and efficiencies of the laboratory equipment, improve the water treatment system and reduce yearly maintenance and operational costs.
The Vortisand system was added to Evoqua’s product portfolio as part of its 2016 acquisition of Neptune-Benson.
