Bacharach Acquires Manufacturer of Refrigeration Monitoring Equipment

Refrigerant detection systems maker Bacharach Inc., New Kensington, Pa., completed the acquisition of Parasense Inc. Parasense manufactures refrigeration detection and monitoring equipment for the food retail and military segments of the refrigeration and air-conditioning markets.

Located in Quedgeley, England, Parasense’s manufacturing and design operations there provide sales and support resources for its European and export customer base. In North America, Parasense provides distribution, assembly, service, sales and training at its Stanardsville, Va., facility.

The companies will continue to operate business as usual under their existing structure, company name, contacts and customer and supplier interactions. According to Bacharach, the combined resources the two entities will strengthen the company’s ability to provide solutions to the global HVAC-R market with fixed and portable gas detection instrumentation and performance monitoring offerings.
