McNeil Industrial completed a successful ammonia system upgrade for a company that provides refrigeration solutions for food service companies.

The goal of the project was to reduce the ammonia charge in facility’s cooling system. The goal was accomplished by confining the ammonia charge to individual chiller packages housed in the engine room. The facility has two separate glycol loops at different temperatures, which are used for the conditioning of the production rooms as well as process cooling.

According to McNeil Industrial, which designs, builds and installs ammonia refrigeration systems, the job was completed on budget and on time.
