Crystal Distribution Services Inc. is investing $5.5 million to expand its refrigerated warehouse in Waterloo, Iowa. A development agreement calls for a 50,000 ft² expansion.

The company, which began by harvesting ice from the Cedar River in the late 1800s, now operates more than 5 million ft³ of cold storage space.
