A M King is expanding an existing food distribution facility for Aldi Inc. in Frederick, Md. The revamped cold storage distribution center will boost the discount grocer’s existing perishables space.

A M King will renovate the existing 100,000 ft² of refrigerated and freezer perishable space, including conversion to new temperature zones, and add a new 48,000 ft², 32’ clear, racked freezer. Additional improvements include expansion of the ammonia refrigeration system, conversion to interior and exterior LED lighting, and energy-saving modifications on new and existing equipment. Construction is scheduled to be completed by February 2018.
