The companion electronic actuators for the stainless steel controlled ball valves provide precise modulation of the refrigerant flow. They also provide slow opening and closing to reduce line shock. The controlled ball valves offer straight-through flow, which minimizes liquid puddling and debris collection on the inlet of the valve compared to globe-style valves. Delivering maximum flow, the Cobra-Neck design locates the ISO 5211 F05 standard actuator mount above the potentially ice-encrusted body to ease servicing and viewing of the valve position. The controlled ball valves are rated up to 800 psig SWP at -70°F (-56°C) and are available in pipe connection sizes from 0.75 to 3”. They are intended for industrial refrigeration systems utilizing ammonia (NH3), carbon dioxide (CO2) and other approved refrigerants.
