Reduced-Capacity Safety-Relief Valve
Model SR1R is designed to offer the lowest flow capacity of any safety relief available in the industrial refrigeration market. This low flow capacity allows relief piping to be used with the valve on applications such as oil pots. Features include a flow capacity of 4.5 lb/min of air at 150 psi set pressure (7.2 lb/min of air at 250 psi set pressure) and standard pressure settings of 150, 200, 250 and 300 psi. The reduced-capacity safety relief valve is based on the company’s SR Series of safety-relief valves with stainless steel internal components and non-stick PTFE seals. The new model is available with a 0.5” inlet connection and a 0.75” outlet connection. It uses the same housing as the SR1 and is a drop-in replacement. When used with the M1 change-over manifold from the company, periodic maintenance is simplified. The reduced-capacity safety relief valve is constructed to meet the requirements of Section VIII of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ANSI/ASHRAE 15 Code requirements. It bear the ASME Code Symbol (UV).
