Jeffcool industrial coolants and heat transfer fluids are produced from inhibited ethylene glycol and propylene glycol specifically to protect brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, aluminum and other metals commonly found in industrial cooling and heating systems. Corrosion of metallic components is an inherent problem for water and water/glycol cooling systems because metals naturally tend to oxidize in the presence of water. Backed by years of development, the formulated coolants contain carefully matched corrosion inhibitors that attach to metal surfaces to prevent corrosion. The heat transfer fluids offer protection for the prevention of costly system damage and production downtime. Products include Jeffcool P200, an inhibited USP-grade propylene glycol that is used as an industrial coolant and heat transfer agent where contact with food or potable water is possible and toxicological properties must be considered.
