The detectors use an ammonia-specific electrochemical cell designed to adapt to any harsh environment from -50 to 140°F (-45 to 60°C). A circuit board sealed in potting material protects the sensitive sensor components and copper tracing from corrosion. Models with a number of available ranges are offered. The weatherproof NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure is safe for outdoors and wash-down areas. A built in three-stage heater allows it to be used in freezing temperatures. The company also offers a high range ammonia sensor designed for catastrophic leak detection and electrical shutdown in compressor rooms and a high range ammonia sensor designed for vent lines headers to detect ammonia discharges into the atmosphere.
