Lineage Logistics LLC acquired eight temperature-controlled warehouses from U.S. Growers Cold Storage (Growers). The deal adds significant capacity to Lineage’s facility network in Southern California: The eight locations encompass more than 12 million ft³ of capacity in the Los Angeles area and brings Lineage’s Southern California network to 20 facilities.

In addition to the acquisition, Lineage will continue Growers’ existing expansion plans to add more than 25,000 pallet positions to its capacity over two phases. The initial phase is scheduled for completion in May 2018.

According to the company, the transaction also strengthens Lineage’s ability to customize supply-chain solutions for customers via its expanded Southern California facility network.
