Evoqua’s ADI Systems has been chosen by Emmi Roth to design, build and commission a 1 MG ADI-BVF unit to anaerobically pretreat wastewater from the cheese producer’s operations. This technology is recognized for its ease of use, low energy consumption and low sludge hauling costs.
The ADI-BVF unit is particularly suited for dairy wastewater because it can reliably treat moderate-to-high concentrations of organics, suspended solids, and fat, oil and grease (FOG) in a single stage, typically without the need for primary treatment. The wastewater treatment solution — to be installed at Emmi Roth’s Platteville, Wis., cheese plant — will help contribute to the company’s commitment to economic and environmental sustainability.
