Cooling System Saves Water, Energy at Laboratory

A 1.6 million BTU closed circuit cooling tower is a key component of a cooling system installed at New England Biolabs in Rowley, Mass. Designed and built by Evapco, the system is part of a 40,000 ft² clean-room production facility. The tower provides cooling to process water for a range of sophisticated plant processes.

Evapco’s eco-ATWB-H series fluid cooler was specifically designed to optimize both the evaporative (latent) and dry (sensible) modes of cooling simultaneously — combining the advantages of an evaporative cooler and a dry cooler into one unit.
