Tippmann Innovation, an industrial cold storage builder, and Dick Cold Storage broke ground on a 115,000 ft2 public refrigerated warehouse in Columbus, Ohio, to optimize frozen food storage.
The facility will include refrigeration technology capable of temperatures as low as -20°F and 15,000 pallet positions, and it will fulfill a need for refrigerated frozen storage in the Columbus area. To meet a range of customer needs, the facility will offer quick freezing capabilities for temperature-sensitive products as well as frozen, cooler and dry storage. The project, which is expected to create 30 full-time positions, is slated for completion later this year.
Dick Cold Storage operates three cold storage facilities in the Columbus area.
