Due to an increase in demand, Del Rey Avocado will add an additional 30,000 ft2 of cold storage to its facility in Vineland, N.J. The plant, which was purchased in January 2017, services as far north as Maine, south to the Carolinas and west to the Missouri Valley.

The company also is adding two ripening rooms, which are expected to be finished by the end of July. Product for this facility is primarily from Mexico, but Del Rey Avocado also stores fruit from Chile, Peru and California.
