The Vertex evaporative condenser reduces installation costs by 30 percent, says the manufacturer. The evaporative condenser design allows the upper part to be aligned to the lower section in less than 15 minutes per cell. In addition, water volume is reduced by up to 30 percent, saving on water and chemical costs.

Manufactured by Baltimore Aircoil Co., the condenser uses a direct-drive EC fan system. It maximizes uptime and reduces operating costs while not requiring regular maintenance. Redundancy is inherent in the overall design of the unit, including fans, motors, and pumps, to provide uninterrupted operation, says BAC.

In addition, the company notes that Vertex is inherently sustainable for industrial refrigeration and other industrial process applications because it uses evaporative cooling.
