Jax Refrigeration provided a cool box room for the dehumidification systems on two tortilla-cooling rooms for Mission Foods, a provider of Mexican food products. Through its Jax Cool department, the company also installed insulated metal panels and doors at the food processing facility where tortillas are packaged.

According to Jax, the project required a tight turnaround in order to allow the plant to remain operational and avoid disruption in productivity. It also required high standards of sanitation in the workspace. As such, careful measures were taken to avoid contamination of products being produced: cutting of insulated panels was completed outdoors to ensure food safety and eliminate dust contamination; and stainless steel trim was installed to maximize the facility’s overall cleanliness.

Working with Grumma Engineering, Jax Cool completed the project in roughly one month.
