Tyson Foods Distribution Center May Come to Texas
The Denton Economic Development Partnership Board has recommended tax incentives for Tyson Foods if and when it builds a 350,000 ft2 storage and distribution center in the city, according to a local report. The company plans to build a highly automated distribution center that would employ 100 full-time workers.
Tyson Foods contacted Denton’s economic development office about finding a location, but no plans for a facility have been finalized and no formal timeline for the project has been released. Denton, meanwhile, has a cluster of refrigerated and frozen-food distribution centers, including U.S. Cold Storage, which opened a facility in September 2018.
