Cold Storage Warehouse to Create Jobs in Virginia

Preferred Freezer Services will invest $60 million to build a 200,000 ft² cold storage warehouse in Portsmouth, Va. The facility will be used to import, export, process and distribute a range of food products. It will include over 31,000 pallet positions. The project is expected to create 60 new jobs.

Headquartered in Chatham, N.J., Preferred Freezer Services operates over 300 million ft³ of full-service temperature-controlled warehouse space across the United States and Asia, including operations in Chesapeake.
