Air-X-Changers will be organized into one of Chart's new business segments, Energy & Chemicals FinFans. E&C FinFans will focus on capabilities in air-cooled heat exchangers and fans and is comprised of the Hudson Products businesses, Air-X-Changers and Chart Cooler Services.
The acquisition reinforces Chart’s strategic focus on core cryogenic engineering and products for the industrial gas and energy spaces, the company says in a release. It also provides Chart access to the compression market for air-cooled heat exchangers, extending the company’s air-cooled heat exchanger offerings for both process and compression.
Eric Clower, who had served as general manager for Air-X-Changers over the past eight years, joins Chart’s E&C FinFans business as the segment president, effective immediately. In addition, Air-X-Changers’ Kari Hendrix joins Chart as vice president of finance for E&C FinFans.
Chart’s other three business segments are Energy and Chemicals Cryogenics; Distribution and Storage East; and Distribution and Storage West.
