Combining wet and dry cooling, the TrilliumSeries optimizes energy and water savings for industrial refrigeration. When the ambient air is below the setpoint, the unit runs as a dry cooler to save water and energy. The ambient air condenses the refrigerant in the coils, which is then returned to the system. When the unit is in precooler mode, water is evenly sprayed over the precooler pads. The air is cooled down to 1 to 3°F above the wet-bulb temperature. Such depression of the air temperature results in a major increase in dry-cooling capacity. The ambient air condenses the refrigerant in the coils which is then returned to the system. During its patented cleansing circulation, water enters the unit and is circulated throughout. Every two hours, the water is drained from the unit, requiring no water treatment.
