According to a local report, Cimco Refrigeration will provide a major upgrade to the refrigeration system at the Canada Games Centre in Whitehorse, the capital of Canada’s Yukon territory. Cimco designed, manufactured and installed the current system when the recreation complex was built in 2005.
A glycol adiabatic fluid cooler designed for extreme winter weather will replace the existing water cooling tower. Upgrades to the existing chiller and condenser will also be performed. The project is scheduled over a four-week period in May 2020 so that it won’t have a major impact on ice schedules at the facility.
