Design-build firm Stellar will help develop and promote Opteon in industrial refrigeration projects, including retrofits, following a partnership agreement with with Chemours Co., a global chemistry company. Opteon refrigerants are hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based. Stellar also designs and installs ammonia, CO₂ and hydrocarbon refrigeration systems.

According to the Jacksonville, Fla.-based design-build firm, the partnership will allow it to grow its service offering to industrial clients as well as to the recreational refrigeration market, including public and private ice rinks. Opteon is the official refrigerant of the NHL.
