ACS

The AEC High Efficiency Central Chillers are remarkably energy efficient and can save processors up to 60% in electrical costs. The system continuously measures ambient and process conditions and will adjust to operate in the most efficient manner. Designed with electrical, mechanical and control redundancy, along with predictive analysis, downtime is virtually eliminated.

chiller

The High Efficiency Central Chiller is available in single circuits from 20 to 60 tons and is designed with modularity in mind. Users can purchase a system to meet their current process cooling needs. Expansion is made easy by plugging similar capacity units in parallel for up to 600 tons of cooling. The chillers control off the temperature of the tank and can maintain between 20°F to 80°F (-7°C to 26.6°C).

Smart Controls for a Smarter Facility

  • Remotely monitor the system 24/7 via phone, tablet, or PC.
  • Quick, intelligent diagnostics of system status and alarms through live graphing and data logging.
  • With predictive analysis and monitoring changing operation conditions, the system responds in real time to maximize uptime.

Electric AC

Vortex AC

Avoid downtime due to overheated electronic and electrical enclosures using the UL Listed Type 4/4X Electric Vortex AC. Inside an electrical enclosure, every 18°F rise in temperature reduces the reliability of the electronic components by 50%. With manufacturers and integrators placing higher densities of components in each cabinet, the heat load is continually amplified, deeming cabinet cooling a necessity for most operations. This industry-leading solution cools cabinets withing a +-7°F range by utilizing an electric thermostat that’s prewired to be quickly installed. The only requirement is an electrical outlet plugin within 10 feet of the enclosure, eliminating the need for extra wiring and piping as typically necessary to install other electric thermostat enclosure cooler solutions.

The Vortec Electric AC offers models that range from 900-2500 BTU/hour cooling capacity to suit the differing needs of each facility. They operate in environments up to 175°F and are designed to cool quietly rather than adding to industrial noise. With their 62 dBA operation, Electric Vortex AC’s are 78% quieter than typical vortex coolers. An electric thermostat allows the user to set a desired temperature to be maintained in the enclosure. The cooler will only turn on when necessary, conserving energy from continuous compressed air usage. These units have a small footprint to fit on all enclosures and in confined areas; and can be mounted on the top, side, or front of the enclosure. These systems are covered by a 10-year warranty and are a part of Vortec’s trusted 59 years of innovative compressed air solutions.

Pfannenberg

Heat Exchangers

The PKS 3000 Series Air/Air Heat Exchangers use Pfannenberg’s next generation Kinetic Cooling System™ to exchange and remove heat from an electrical enclosure. This is a perfect solution for those looking to reduce the energy, maintenance and footprint associated with traditional enclosure cooling units. Designed for indoor, outdoor/remote applications and washdown application that require a closed loop system to protect electronics. Available in 5 models.

Pfannenberg’s PKS 3000 Series Air to Air Heat Exchangers use a revolutionary next generation cooling technology that out-performs conventional heat exchangers and/or heat pipe solutions. One of the best technologies to use when there is a temperature difference between the internal target temperature and the surrounding temperature (∆T≥10°C) is air to air technology.  An air/air heat exchanger removes heat from inside of the enclosure to the cooler environment using the least amount of energy while still providing a closed loop ingress protection.

Technology Comparison

To better understand the advantages of our PKS Air/Air Heat Exchangers let’s take a look at how it compares to a traditional cooling unit. AC/Cooling Units are typically the go to solution for cooling an enclosure. What many people fail to consider is that a cooler ambient environment could be used to help cool your warmer electrical enclosure. This new air to air technology takes advantage of a cooler ambient environment especially in harsh (dusty, oily, dirty) conditions when closed-loop cooling is required. Here we demonstrate the considerable saving you could see with this new technology compared to an AC unit.
