Minimized noise, vibrations and pulsations, and reduced maintenance requirements, are among the features of a line of subcritical compressors intended for industrial low temperature applications in cold stores and the food industry.

The units from GEA Bock provide a minimum 6 percent higher CO2 efficiency compared to customary compressors, says the company. The HGX44e CO2 series, has four model variants: optimized hot gas defrosting; evaporating temperatures from -58 to 5°F (-50 to -15°C); condensing temperatures up to 5°F (15°C); and adapted maximum permissible operating pressure (LP/HP 30/55 bar).
