The 0.25 to 1” vortex-shedding flowmeter line is intended for 2 to 50 gal/min of chemicals, corrosives or water. The flowmeter is made for water, chemicals and low viscosity fluids compatible with materials of construction. There are no moving parts to clog or wear.
Features of the CX Series include a flow rate transmitter 4 to 20 mA. It can be supplied with high and low solid-state relays or single relay with pulse out (100 pulses per gallon). The three-wire version (power supplied separate from the 4 to 20 mA) has a solid-state relay that can be configured as an alarm or as a pulse out. It has a bright LED digital display of flow rate. The two-wire version (option E14) has no display, pulse out or alarm point. It can be operated in an intrinsically safe mode only when used in conjunction with an approved intrinsic-safety barrier meeting required entity parameters.
Flow bodies are manufactured of polysulfone with Viton seals bluffs. The sensor is made of CPVC and PVDF (standard) though PEEK can be substituted for high temperature applications or for chemical compatibility.
