Air- and water-cooled industrial-grade chillers are critical for industrial processes such as plastics, pharmaceuticals and transportation manufacturing. They also are used for brewing processes and medical equipment processing.

Both styles of chillers work by removing heat from processes so that equipment stays cool. Four components in both air-cooled and water-cooled process chillers — evaporator, compressor, condenser and expansion valve — work together to achieve effective process cooling.
