Integrated design-build firm A M King has been recognized with two awards from the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) for its work on TrueCore’s insulated metal panel facility in Laurens, S.C. TrueCore develops panels for use in facility construction and renovation of cold storage, food processing and manufacturing projects.

A M King provided full property consulting services and designed and built a 115,122 ft2 greenfield facility for TrueCore. The facility can accommodate 1,000 lineal feet of continuous production line and includes 11,000 ft2 of corporate office space and 82,000 ft2 of exterior space for product laydown and handling. It also contains areas with 85’ expanded bay spacing, recessed equipment pits, an overhead bridge crane and equipment rooms dedicated to chemical mixing and storage.

DBIA will present A M King with the National Award of Merit at the virtual Design-Build Conference & Expo on October 29. A M King is one of three Merit Award winners in the 2020 Design-Build Project/Team Awards that will be considered for the National Award of Excellence in the Industrial, Process and/or Research category. The company also won a National Merit Award in the Small Project Category and will be considered for Best Small Project.
