Water Technology Company Breaks Ground on Facility

Water pump manufacturer Grundfos broke ground on its Americas Regional Center in Brookshire, Texas, a facility that will house company sales, operations, engineering, human resources, finance and other support functions.

The 45,000 ft² facility is expected to be completed during the spring of 2021. Among the energy efficient technologies being incorporated, a chilled water energy storage system will reduce energy consumption, and a rainwater harvesting system will support chillers.

In addition, the structure will be made of locally sourced building materials verified to have been sourced in a responsible manner, according to Grundfos. Solar photovoltaic panels mounted on the roof will offset 20 percent or more of the building’s energy costs.
