Stellar Completes Climate-Controlled Distribution Center

Fully integrated design-build firm Stellar completed construction of Eby-Brown’s new 200,000 ft² climate-controlled distribution center near Tampa, Fla. The $10.4 million project was completed on schedule.

Stellar installed an insulated metal panel (IMP) wall system and roof according to Florida energy code requirements in order to maintain proper conditions to store perishable products. This included relocating light fixtures and reinforcing the roof structure to accommodate the weight of industrial refrigeration units. In addition, crews replaced existing concrete slabs with ones that can withstand the freezer area’s subzero temperatures and constructed a refrigerated loading dock.
