The Florida Panthers IceDen selected Stellar to renovate one of the facility’s three ice sheets and install an associated refrigeration system. The new system will utilize Opteon, the NHL's official refrigerant solution developed by The Chemours Company, a Stellar partner. The $1.2 million project broke ground in September 2020 and is expected to be completed by March 2021.

Stellar will demolish and replace the floor pad of the facility’s mezzanine ice sheet. The refrigeration system serves two sheets, including the pad being renovated. It will be upgraded to an Opteon Air-Cooled system. Stellar will also perform the engineering, design and installation of the new floor pad and refrigeration system.

The Panthers IceDen is a 125,000 ft2 multi-use facility in Coral Springs, Fla., that serves as the official practice location of the NHL’s Florida Panthers. It also hosts local club and recreational hockey teams and figure skaters.
