A course focused on ANSI/IIAR 9-2020, the Standard for Minimum System Safety Requirements for Existing Closed-Circuit Ammonia Refrigeration Systems, will help attendees learn how to apply those requirements to a safely operated refrigeration system.
This course is intended to serve as continuing education for industrial refrigeration professionals whose job responsibilities include the safe operation of existing closed-circuit ammonia refrigeration systems. This audience would include plant managers, maintenance directors and supervisors, engineering managers, facilities engineers, facility managers, service technicians, mechanical engineers, refrigeration engineers, as well as other employees who focus on day-to-day operations of existing ammonia refrigeration systems.
The curriculum is tailored as three modules. The first provides the foundation for ANSI/IIAR 9-2020; the second addresses indoor and outdoor locations for ammonia equipment as well as safety requirements; and the third includes a focus on performing a system safety evaluation. Those completing the included quizzes at the end of each module as well as a final exam can earn continuing education credits as well as professional development hours.
