Design-build firm A M King partnered with Aldi U.S. to provide property consulting, design and construction of a facility in Loxley, Ala. The 570,660 ft2 divisional headquarters and distribution center will service more than 100 stores in southern Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and the Florida panhandle.
The scope of work on the Loxley facility will cover 193,440 ft2 of dry (ambient temperature) storage; 23,000 ft2 of 55°F storage; 65,661 ft2 of 34°F cooler storage; 12,896 ft2 of 30°F meat storage; 27,949 ft2 of 0°F freezer; 4,949 ft2 of -10°F ice cream freezer; and 24,679 ft2 of office space.
