Aldi Distribution Center Breaks Ground in Alabama

Design-build firm A M King partnered with Aldi U.S. to provide property consulting, design and construction of a facility in Loxley, Ala. The 570,660 ft² divisional headquarters and distribution center will service more than 100 stores in southern Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and the Florida panhandle.

The scope of work on the Loxley facility will cover 193,440 ft² of dry (ambient temperature) storage; 23,000 ft² of 55°F storage; 65,661 ft² of 34°F cooler storage; 12,896 ft² of 30°F meat storage; 27,949 ft² of 0°F freezer; 4,949 ft² of -10°F ice cream freezer; and 24,679 ft² of office space.
