The water-saving design of Model HXV makes it suited for applications where water is scarce or expensive, or plume is a concern. Capable of providing both evaporative and dry cooling, the hybrid cooler has combined flow technology. It combines parallel air and water paths, to optimize system energy efficiency. According to the manufacturer, the hybrid cooler offers water savings compared to traditional fluid coolers. It is designed to ease maintenance with access to the cold-water basin, prime surface coil and fan-drive system. Operators can inspect the spray distribution system while the unit is in operation.
