The option to add variable-frequency drives to control the pump motor to the company’s line of industrial variable-speed drive chillers means users may be able to cut operating costs and add remote management features. VFDs can be used to control either delivery flow rate, delivery water pressure or remote pressure via a remote process sensor. All of the process parameters can be set directly by user input on the chiller HMI or remotely through a communication protocol. The VFDs have several adjustable parameters that can them to unique user process characteristics.
