Atlas Copco Acquires Industrial Air Compressor Distributor

Atlas Copco acquired the operating assets of MidState Air Compressor, a Berlin, Conn.-based distributor of industrial air compressors, dryers and related services that covers Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The acquired business will become part of Quincy Compressor LLC, which is part of the Industrial Air division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.

In related news, Atlas Copco acquired a majority share of Eco Steam and Heating Solutions, an industrial steam and hot water boiler company located in the Netherlands. The company develops, rents and sells customized industrial boiler assemblies tailored for plug-and-play installation. Eco Steam and Heating Solutions serves European customers, primarily in the food and beverage, chemical, steel, pharmaceutical and energy sectors. Eco Steam and Heating Solutions will become part of the Specialty Rental division within the Power Technique business area.
