RLS Gress Upgrades its Cold-Storage Facilities with Warehouse Management Software

Cold-storage provider RLS Gress updated its warehouse management system (WMS) to better automate processes for the handling and storage of any type of goods. RLS Gress — formerly Gress Refrigerated Services & Logistics — is a member of the RLS network of cold chain solutions providers following an agreement inked by the two companies in September 2020.

The updated warehouse system, provided by Datex FootPrint, was installed at all four of RLS Gress’ cold-storage warehouses in Scranton, Pa. The system adds RF scanning, an internal network at all buildings and enhanced EDI capabilities.

RLS Gress also integrated Datex FootPrint with its business intelligence reporting to understand its operations and procedures to learn and improve processes.
