Proposed New York Cold Storage to Provide Ice Cream Storage Capacity

According to a report, Americold is moving ahead with plans to build a cold-storage facility in Dunkirk, N.Y. The project would create about 70 full-time jobs.

The proposed 181,000 ft² facility would sit on approximately 20 acres of land. It would serve Wells Enterprises by storing the plant’s Blue Bunny Ice Cream until it is shipped to wholesalers, distributors and retailers. The total cost of the project is approximately $41 million.
