Lineage Logistics LLC acquired Hanson Logistics, a cold-storage provider based in the Midwest. Hanson currently ranks as the 12th-largest temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics provider in North America, according to the International Association of Refrigerated Warehousing (IARW).

Founded in 1954, Hanson’s network includes seven distribution facilities spanning 46 million ft3 of capacity across Michigan and Indiana. According to Hanson, the acquisition better positions the company to continue serving mid-market food processors in addition to large global customers.

Lineage Logistics’ North American facility network now consists of more than 250 facilities in 35 states and two Canadian provinces, spanning more than 1.7 billion ft3 of temperature-controlled capacity.
